    • Ref:The Longreach Leader (Qld. : 1923 - 1954) Saturday 24 December 1932 p 9 Article "COX-TIBBITS On December 15th at the Holy Trinity Church, Blackall, the marriage was solemnised of Mr. C. M. Cox (older son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. J. Cox Rockhampton) and Miss Muriel Tibbits (eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. K. Tibbits Blackall). Rev. W. V. Rymer officiated and Mrs. Arthur Symes presided at the organ. The Church had been beautifully decorated by girl friends of the bride, with pink and white largerstroemia and fern. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a fashionably modelled frock of parchment angel skin skin lace, and a large straw hat of the same shade, She carried a shower bouquet of cream and pink, carnations and antigonon, and wore a string of beautiful pearls lent by an old friend, Mrs. J. F. Banks. Miss Marjorie Tibbits, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and wore a tight fitting primrose georgette frock trimmed with taffetta frills, hat of same shade with large velvet bow. Her bouquet of Quisquatis matched her red rhinestone necklet and satin shoes. Mr. Martin Breen, Q.N. Bank, was best man. After the ceremony the bride's parents entertained a few friends at their residence. Mr. Tibbits, mother of the bride, received her guests in a frock of navy georgette trimmed with white and navy hat to match. On leaving for the honeymoon, which will be spent in Sydney, Mrs. Cox wore a pale blue figured British shantung frock, with her straw hat was relieved with black. Later, Mr.and Mrs. Cox will return to Gladstone, their future home."
