- George enlisted in the AIF on the 2nd May 1918 , just six weeks after his brother Charles was Killed in action in Belgium.
- (Medical):George died on the 18th May 1972 after being accidently gassed ,with his sister Florence ,in their home at Kinsgrove,NSW.Sadly ,Florence lingered for another two weeks before being found near a draughty doorway.She never recovered
