- Article in the The Maitland Mercury & Hunter River General Advertiser (NSW : 1843 - 1893) Thursday 18 June 1885 .
"A little boy named Moore, grandson of Mr. Ayshford, of Sunnyside, Tenterfield, sustained some very serious injuries last week by an accident which might have been attended with fatal results. The poor little fellow picked up a powder flask half full, and with childish thoughtlessness threw it into the fire, the explosion which promptly followed scorching him badly about the face and body."
