"The Late William (Henry) West Hamilton. This gentleman, landlord and proprietor of the Pegleg Hotel, was interred at the Churchyard, Bullock Creek, on Wednesday afternoon, in the presence of a large assemblage of friends, many of whom came a distance of twenty-two miles. The procession extended nearly three-quarters of a mile, consisting of gigs, carriages, and their occupants. The lamented deceased was well connnected in the north of Ireland, and has resided at Pegleg about five years. He expired suddenly on Sunday night, at the early age of 30, and the respect paid to his manes must be gratifying to the feelings of his sorrowing relatives. He has left a young widow and two infant children."
