- The Sydney Morning Herald (NSW : 1842 - 1954) Wednesday 8 November 1843 p 3 Family Notices"Died suddenly, in a fit of apoplexy, on the 7th instant, at her son's residence, Hunter-street, much regretted, Mrs. Cleeve, aged sixty-five, relict of the late Rev. Dr. Cleeve, for many years Rector of St. George's in Exeter, having arrived in the Palestine, from London, only fifteen days since, in good health."
Elizabeth had only been is Australia for fifteen days when she died.
