FARRAND (From Inverell "Times") The community received a great shock on Sunday morning last when the sad news became known that Mrs. Beatrice Farrand, wife of Mr. Norman W. Farrand, had passed away early that morning. The deceased lady, who was really in the prime of life-she was only 39 when the Grim Reaper called-had a very bad attack of dengue fever when the epidemic was raffing throughout the town and district which ohe never appeared to shake off. After sever al weeks treatment at her home she was removed to a private hospital on Wednesday last, but despite the best of medical skill and nursing,she gradually sank and life flickered out at 9 o'clock on Sunday morning. In addition to her husband she is survived by four children: Gwen, aged 10 years; Arthur 8, John 4, and Marjorie 2 1/2"
