Notes |
- Emigrated to Australia, arriving on 28 Jan 1864, aboard the "Sirocco",sponsored by eldest brother William who arrived on the "Lady Milton" on 28 Jun 1862. In 1866 he was a Grocers Assistant in Glen Innes, and elected Mayor of Inverell,NSW, in 1885.He retired as Mayor in 1886 and moved the family to Brewarrina,NSW,hopefully far from the scourge of Diptheria which had claimed four of his children . His trade whilst in the Inverell area included grain buying, storekeeper, and tin buyer from the tin miners of Elsmore.
