	The marriage record lists Charlotte as a Widow,her first husband William Thomas Hingston having died prior to this marriage to Gilbert. Their six younger children were registered as Hingstons,but were always known as Cory's ,and Gilbert's children,a fact borne out in his will in which he names the children as his.The children were all born before Gilbert and Charlotte married in 1876,the first child in 1859,the youngest in 1873. "Ashtonleigh", (the cottage on the edge of Vacy township)was built for Charlotte (2nd wife of Gilbert Cory) after her husband's death , and she and her daughters Charlotte-born1859-(Worthington,married 1883) ,Susan Annie -born1861(remained unmarried),and Gertrude Gilberta Ashwick Cory -born 1871-(later Cox ,married after Gilberts death in 1896) were the beneficiaries of all remaining property ,personal effects and personal belongings in Gilberts Will, and no property was to be sold until after wife Charlottes death - which occurred on 16th April 1924 Her unmarried daughters Susan Annie ,and Gertrude lived with Charlotte in Astonleigh, until Gertrude married in 1899, and then the unmarried Susan Annie remained there until Charlotte's death in 1924 It was in 1927 , three years after Charlottes death , that the entire Vacy estate was disposed of (this would have included Charlotte's residence,Ashtonleigh) ,comprising 60 farms, grazing areas, town allotment's, Post Office, Hotel, Butchery, Stores, and Bakery. This ended nearly 100 years association of the Cory's and the Hunter Valley
