Grice, of "Moondah," Frankston, died at private hospital on Wednesday. He had been ill for some time, and had been under the medical care of Dr Grant. Recently Mr Grice, who had pastoral in- terests in Gippsland, had resided at Berwick. He was a prominent member of the V.R.C. and the Melbourne Hounds. A son and two daughters survive him. There was a large and representative attendance at the funeral an Friday. Mr Richard Grice, who was well-known in this district, was a keen sportsman, and owned some good racehorses, the best of which was Hova. The Grice brothers stood to win a very big amount on Hova had he won the Melbourne Cup of 1895, but the horse, when the race looked a certainty, was beaten by the South Aus- tralian light-weighted mare, Acracia, by a neck."
