    • On the 16th March ,1818 ,Henry and his brother James were sentenced in the Susexx Assizes ,for theft ,and given a life sentence in the colonies.They sailed from Portsmouth on the General Stuart,19th July 1818 ,and arrived in Sydney Cove ,on 31st December ,1818. He recieved his Ticket of Leave (27/725) ,dated 12th October,1827 ,and later a Conditional Pardon(269),on 10th July 1834. He applied to marry Margaret Goodin, but daughter Lucy was fifteen months of age before permission was granted.
