His death registration says that he died at Parkside, South Australia, but it seems clear from the Register's article that he must have died either en route to or at the Adelaide Hospital.

"SUDDEN DEATH IN THE GENERAL POST- OFFICE. '97 At about 2.30 on Tuesday afternoon a man named William Ellis Loughhead, aged thirty, of Young-street, Parkside. was found in a fit in the hall of the Post-Office by Sergeant Adams, who immediately called a cab and had the man conveyed to the Hospital. On arrival there Dr. Gunson, who examined the body, pronounced life extinct. Mr. James Loughhead. the father of the deceased, states that his son had suffered from heart disease for the last twelve years, and had been attended for that complaint by Drs. Verco and Wigg. ln these circumstances the Coroner decided that an inquest was unnecesssary. "
