- Clarence was employed by Colonial Sugar in Suva,Fiji,and whilst on leave in Melbourne,he met Phyllis Kershaw, and they married , and remained there until their daughter ,Fay was born,then returned to Fiji.. Clarence later became ill in Fiji , and brought his family back to Melbourne,Australia.It was in Melbourne that he died.His wife and daughter remained in Melbourne, residing in St. Kilda.
