Gwendolyn and Fred separated when their sons were only young ,and in the 1930 ony she and her sons are listed in the record for Mission St ,San Francisco.Her sister Bernice,a school teacher,was living next door.
Gwendolyn remarried a few months after Freds death, which tends to indicate that they never formally divorced, and the newspaper reports of the car accident that resulted in Fred's death seems to verify this ,as it indicates that he left a widow and two sons , in Reno.
