  	Ref:The Cumberland Argus and Fruitgrowers Advocate (Parramatta, NSW : 1888 - 1950) Saturday 6 September 1902 Frank and Margaret moved to Elsmore after they married.Frank worked in the tin mines at Newstead, 5 Km East of Elsmore.They later bought the property"Boxton",and after Margaret's death in 1955,the property was sold to Margarets brother Robert,who relocated from Sydney after retiring from Elder Smith Goldsborough Mort. Opposite the Boxton house there was plenty of tin to be found,and the children ,with their visiting cousins ,would take their picks ,shovels,and buckets and collect soil from under the nearby tree's , and then spread the soil in the furrows etched into the rocky outcrops nearby(these furrows were formed by centuries of water flowing down the sloping outcrops , and each of the children would "claim" a furrow ).When it rained ,the water would flow down the furrows , washing the soil away, and leaving the tin behind.This tin was scooped up with a spoon , collected in match boxes,and sold to the tin buyer on his rounds.A match box full of tin would return three shillings.This was very handy pocket money , as this was the time of the Great Depression.
