Notes |
Married:
- Dennis and Mary Green's property on the Lachlan River was originally called "Wowingragong". In 1861, when gold was discovered in the region, the area was later to be classified as the Lachlan Gold field well before the township of Forbes was in existence. Robert White and the Green family were to become firm friends being among some of the earliest settlers in the area. As a consequence, Robert White and Catherine Porter struck up a close relationship. On 24 April , 1839 , Robert White (jnr) was born, a son to Robert (snr) and Catherine. The new family returned to Sydney, possibly for stock and supplies, where on 17 August , 1839 their son was baptised at St Luke' s Church in Liverpool. The family returned to the Lachlan for a year or so but was resident in Liverpool when their daughter, Eliza Mary, was born on 8 July , 1841. She was baptised a month later at St Luke's church on 8 August , 1841. Robert White died on the 25 November, 1842 only 6 days after writing his last will and testament. He was buried at St Paul's Church of England, Cobbity in the Parish of Narellan on 28 November 1842. He was 40 years of age and was listed as a grazier.
